Templates for email, calls, proposals and invoices
Four texts you can adapt: the first email, a call script, a proposal and an invoice note. Each one names the price with its billing period and promises nothing you cannot keep.
The first email
Hello, As of [date], [Business] has no website of its own on record. [Your company] built a preview website for [Business]: [preview link] The [level] plan costs [price] a month, billed monthly, and a full refund is available within the first 30 days. Keep everything else as it is. [Your name] [Your company]
We draft this email for each business from its lookup result, add the footer with the one-click unsubscribe, and check the text before you approve it.
A call script
- Say who you are, and that a preview of their new website is ready.
- Offer to send the link by text or email, so the owner sees the site before you discuss price.
- Answer questions about price with the billing period in the same sentence.
- End the call with a date to speak again, or with the owner's decision.
If a business asks you not to contact it again, add it to your do-not-contact list that day.
A proposal
[Business]: website proposal Level: [Simple, Advanced or Professional] Includes: [the points of that level] Price: [price] a month, billed monthly. You can cancel at any time, and a full refund is available within the first 30 days of the first payment. You see the whole site as a preview first, and nothing goes live until you approve it. [Your name] [Your company] [Your email]
Use it when an owner asks for the offer in writing, before they approve the preview.
An invoice note
[Business]: [level] website, [month] [price] a month, billed monthly, paid by card through the [Your company] storefront. Questions about this charge: [Your email]
Checkout sends the receipt; use this note when an owner asks for a line to file with it.
Questions
Can I change the wording?
Yes. Every template is a starting point. Keep the price with its billing period, and keep promises about results out.
Will the business see our name?
No. Every email, proposal and note carries your name and your company.
Where does the email go from?
From your own mailbox, once it is connected and verified.
